On Friday, February 23rd 2024, a public symposium with an evening program will take place at Muffathalle starting at 10:00. The symposium, titled Embodying New Ideals & Idealized Body Images, will feature lectures and discussion panels throughout the day addressing various aspects of ideals in dance and deepen the specific theme of this year’s edition of the Biennale Tanzausbildung 2024 München.
Under the title Fresh Made Jam, a public improvisation session will take place at 20:00. It will be led by several students from the Ballet Academy, HMTM and will also include guests from the independent dance-scene in Munich. In an improvisation session Munich performers show together with students of the Ballet Academy, Munich the results of a research on improvisational tools for an interactive performance. The session incorporates participatory elements actively involving the audience and guests.
