Dustin Klein

completed his education as a dancer at the Royal Ballet School, London and Trinity College London; he also gained a BTEC National Award in Arts Management.

In 2006, Klein was engaged by the Ballett am Rhein Düsseldorf Duisburg and danced at the Bayerisches Staatsballett from 2008 – 21. There he appeared in solo roles in works by Christian Spuck, Jiří Kylián, John Neumeier, William Forsythe, Christopher Wheeldon, Richard Siegal, Pina Bausch and Russell Maliphant, among others. 

In 2012, he created his first choreography “Myopic Bounds” at the Landsberger Stadttheater and has since created works for numerous companies and festivals, including the Bavarian State Ballet, Salzburg Festival, Opéra du Dijon in France, Bühnen Bern, National Theatre in Prague, Stanislavski Theatre in Moscow, J.K. Tyl Theatre in the Czech Republic and from 2017 – 2022 for the Origen Festival Cultural in Switzerland. In addition to numerous awards for his work, he received the Culture Promotion Prize and the Ellinor Holland Art Prize 2015 in Landsberg am Lech, the Audience Award of the 34th Bavarian Theatre Days 2016 in Regensburg and the Production Prize of the 33rd International Choreographic Competition 2019 in Hanover. In January 2024, Dustin Klein created the choreography “RE-Movement” for the Oldenburg State Theatre Ballet as part of the ballet evening “Recycling II”, and for the production “Real Victory” he is guest choreographer at the Münster Theatre for the first time.
