Desperado
Around 90 young dancers transform the foyer of the Humboldt Forum into a vibrant, pulsating stage.
For this unique performance, dancers from Germany and five other European countries come together to enter into a shared artistic dialogue.
At the core of the piece lie inner awakening, the pursuit of greatness, and the search for individuality. At the same time, the work grapples with doubt and the fear of standing alone. The dancers make these tensions visible—through powerful music and a choreography that oscillates between self-assertion and vulnerability.
From the interplay of individuality and integration emerges a magnetic pull that is impossible to resist: every movement becomes a personal statement, revealing the unique character of each performer.
This flashmob is more than a performance; it is a striking display of young artistic strength—bold, passionate, and full of life.
Desperado is created as part of the Federal Competition Biennale Tanzausbildung under the direction of renowned choreographer Nicholas Palmquist.
